A 23" sterling silver chain where I make every link by hand. I wrap sterling wire, cut it into rings, stretch each one into a long oval, and link them together one at a time then solder each link closed. The clasp is an S-hook I bend and hammer from the same wire.
Because the links are made by hand, they're close in size but not identical, and that's the point. The chain is light enough for every day and long enough to sit just below the collarbone. The hook goes through any link, so you can wear it a little shorter if you like.
Solid .925 sterling silver. Sterling darkens over time. A polishing cloth brings it back, or you can leave it to age.
